In 2008 BOLD will benefit the following local organizations dedicated to creating childbirth choices that work for mothers:

• Seattle Midwifery School, whose programs prepare Lactation Professionals, Labor Doulas, Postpartum Doulas, Childbirth Educators and Midwives to serve childbearing women locally and beyond.
  
  
• The Birth Attendants, a group of volunteer doulas serving incarcerated women in Washington State. They offer two main services to these women: weekly pregnancy and labor discussion groups and, when the women go into labor, continuous birth doula support..
  
  
• Pregnant in Puget Sound, a new local organization dedicated to raising awareness around childbirth choices to childbearing women in the Puget Sound area, primarily through the arts. Pregnant in Puget Sound is the organization that brings BOLD to the families of this area.
